I love food, good food, and the fun and fancy stories around it. I started Food n’ Fancies because there are so many beautiful stories about food, people, and culture that do not always get told, especially here in Dallas.
I own a boutique PR agency that represents award-winning restaurants, and one of the most important things I have learned along the way is this: food is just food until you tell the story behind it. The people. The history. The memories. That is where the depth comes from. The textures, the seasonings, the soul.
Each episode of Food n’ Fancies begins the same way. I invite a guest to bring or make a dish that means something to them. We talk about it, where it comes from, and why it matters, and then we share the first bite together. It is that Ratatouille moment, when one taste brings everything back. From there, the conversation opens up into their story, their work, and the culture or community that shaped them.
Sometimes those stories are personal. Sometimes they are tied to a neighborhood, a movement, or a moment in time. Always, they are rooted in food as a way of connecting to our families, our cities, and each other.
Food n’ Fancies is about slowing down, sitting at the table, and listening. It is about honoring the dishes that raised us and the people who keep showing up to make them.
Support and show me some love by subscribing, sharing, and inviting me into your homes for home-cooked meals. I will always show up hungry.
